    No, The Maxwell Beaubien land grant was north of Las Vegas i.e. Watrous, Cimmaron, Springer, Raton area.

    Wonderful story Allan, was this originally part of the Luscious Maxwell Land Grant?….looking at an old map (not dated) it appears to be right on the edge of the Grant
