Ed Romero and I were discussing the Chili Line recently. It turns out we each had a grandfather who worked on it. Are there any other memories about it? Very little physical evidence and not many photos remain.

As a young boy in the 1930's my father would take me down to the D&RG station on Guadalupe St. to watch the narrow gauge steam engine pulled train come in or depart. I recall seeing the train along the Rio Grande near Pilar on our drives to Taos. The line was discontinued and tracks pulled about 1939 or 40.
