I ive in Hillsboro, NM.  I'm currently editor of "Guajalotes, Zopiotes, y Paisanos" the Hillsboro Historical Society's quarterly newsletter.  The newsletter is in its eighth year of publication.   I'm a retired Wildlife Research Biologist and I also am the Managing Editor of the Wild Felid Monitor, a small journal for biologists working with wild cat species worldwide.  I have three books published by the University of Arizona Press:  Soul Among Lions, Stalking the Big Bird, and 1200 Miles by Horse and Burro.  I am editor and coauthor of a book on Las Animas Creek in the Black Range of New Mexico, which is currently being considered by the UNM Press.  My primary interest lies in the long-term ecological history of the Southwest.
