My dad, Otis Seligman hunting something in 1935 to 40? I remember the gun, saddle, and scabbard but not the horse. However we may not of had the horse by the time I was six or so. I recall to other horses we had. Location is most likely near our place on Cow Creek, NM. Other guy, I think, is our neighbor up there, Guermo(Sp?) Varela. Looks too early for deer season. In those days it could have been some subsistence hunting which tended to be overlooked by the wardens. Or could be coyote, bear or lion which were hunted for state bounty.    This is a photo addendum to the previous two articles that I posted on our cabin and lives in Cow Creek in the upper Pecos. Some of the happiest memories of my childhood. The following are links to the previous articles:

The first is about growing up there and the second is a present-day photo of the cabin, kindly furnished by the current full-time resident.

All of the following photos and the lead photo are from my personal collection. Few included any type of caption so most information is sketchy and from memories long past.

My mother and dad fishing on Cow Creek. Probably taken between 1935 and 1938. Photographer unknown.

My older sister, Joan Seligman Diamond, on "Pepper" showing off broken finger. Age about twelve years. Probably around 1938-

About 1938 My dad and sister in our pasture at Cow Creek. I am not sure of the structure on the right along the road. However, I do remember a "cool" house cut into the hill by our neighbors where they stored cans of milk and cheese to be picked up and sold in Pecos. In addition to cattle, they kept horses,  sheep and goats and chickens.
